Dakar-Caire-Dakar : le joueur de l'AS Pikine, les faux recruteurs, le contrat en toc et l’enfer en Égypte
The adventure that was supposed to open the doors of European football to CT Fall, a former prospect of AS Pikine, has turned into a nightmare. According to L'Observateur, which reported the story in its Tuesday edition, the player, lured by fake contracts and promises from a supposed agent based in Spain, made the mistake of terminating his contract with AS Pikine.
He then paid 3.5 million CFA francs to Ch. A. Kh. Ndiaye and N. Sow to finance his departure. The trip, which began on February 19, 2022, was supposed to end in Latvia with a contract with a local club. But it abruptly ended in Cairo, where the footballer was abandoned without a visa for Europe or any financial resources.
Left to his own devices, CT Fall spent six months in Egypt in extreme poverty, living almost like a homeless person. He owed his survival solely to the solidarity of the local Senegalese community, which pooled its resources to offer him a return ticket to Dakar, the same source explains.
Back home, exhausted and feeling betrayed, the athlete filed a complaint. The investigation by the Urban Security Unit uncovered a sophisticated scheme involving the fabrication of fake contracts, the use of fictitious contact information, and the invention of a fictional international agent.
When questioned, the two suspects admitted to the acts but claimed they were unable to return the stolen funds. They were brought before the prosecutor's office on charges of conspiracy, forgery and use of forged documents, and fraud, the newspaper from the Future Media Group added.
