Donnarumma ne regrette pas le PSG, son aveu sincère

This summer, Gianluigi Donnarumma left Paris Saint-Germain to join Manchester City.

Although it was not planned and he had always publicly expressed his desire to stay in the French capital, the Italian international quickly forgot the disappointment of the end of his Parisian experience to focus on his new Manchester adventure.

In comments given to the Citizens' media, "Gigio" did not hide his joy at now being in the Premier League: "I wanted to come here because everyone was saying good things about Manchester City and, in truth, I have found a great family and I am very, very happy here. There is a real family atmosphere and I am delighted with it."

And the presence of Pep Guardiola also played a role: "I felt a strong interest, it flattered me. To be so wanted by City, a coach of Pep Guardiola's caliber, is a great source of pride. I am really happy and proud to be part of the City group and this great family," he confided, having immediately taken the number one spot despite the arrival of James Trafford earlier in this transfer window.

After Serie A and Ligue 1, the 26-year-old goalkeeper has now discovered a third league in his career, the best in the world according to him: "It's the best league in the world. From the outside, the matches are fantastic, it's magnificent to watch and to play in it, it's even better. Being at Manchester City, in the Premier League... I'm at the peak of my career right now."

This arrival could quickly prove beneficial, as the Sky Blues, despite being held to draws in their last three matches against Sunderland (0-0), Chelsea (1-1), and Brighton (1-1), are still in the title race. Ahead of tonight's clash between Arsenal and Liverpool, the Citizens are five points behind the Gunners, who lead the league.

Gianluigi Donnarumma left PSG to join Manchester City this summer. Happy with his decision, the Italian goalkeeper says he is delighted with the family atmosphere at the club and flattered by Pep Guardiola's interest. At 26, he is experiencing the Premier League for the first time, which he considers the best league in the world.
