As part of the qualifiers for the U20 Women's World Cup, scheduled to be held in Poland in 2026, the Senegalese national team is preparing for a major challenge. Coach Mbayang Thiam has announced a list of 24 players called up for the two matches against Nigeria.
The Lionesses will first face Nigeria on February 7, 2026 at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abeokuta, before hosting their opponents on February 14, 2026 at the Lat Dior Stadium in Thiès.

With this expanded group, Mbayang Thiam intends to build a competitive team, capable of competing physically and tactically with Nigeria, a regular in major international competitions.
