Leading Group B with 18 points, Senegal could secure their spot in the 2026 World Cup as early as Matchday 9, scheduled for October 6. After two decisive victories against Sudan (2-0) and DR Congo (3-2), the Lions are now in an ideal position to secure a World Cup spot before the end of the qualifiers.

The scenario is simple: an away win against South Sudan would bring the Lions' total to 21 points. Meanwhile, if DR Congo (2nd with 16 points) were to lose or draw against Togo, they would stagnate at 16 or 17 points. Such a turn of events would seal the fate of Group B and earn Senegal a spot at the 2026 World Cup, co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Otherwise, it is on the 10th and final day that Pape Thiaw's men will play for their qualification against Mauritania in Dakar.

Inchallah le Sénégal se qualifiera dès la prochaine journée car nous ferons vivre l'enfer au Congolais au stade Kéké au Togo. Nous les attendons de pied ferme car le Togo aussi n'est pas maitrisable
