Fédé de lutte : Malick Ngom en colère
Malick Ngom, whose one-year term as head of the National Wrestling Management Committee (CNG) expired at the end of October, has been provisionally reappointed until the installation of the new federation, scheduled for January 9. In an interview with Record, he laments being excluded from the process of setting up this new body, which is being managed exclusively by a commission from the Ministry of Sports.
Relegated to managing only the day-to-day affairs of the CNG, he claims to receive decisions already made without the possibility of offering an opinion, even though he maintains he has "a lot of input to give on the subject." "I have a lot to say, but it's not the right time yet. I haven't been involved in the Federation's affairs. Every time, I receive the decisions made, but I have no opinion to offer," he laments.
The former referee stated that he had observed "numerous irregularities" and promised to reveal them once the process was fully completed. He also rejected accusations that he was trying to cling to his position. He insisted: "If I speak out about what isn't working, people might think I'm trying to hold onto the job. However, I'm not clinging to anything. I always prioritize my dignity wherever I go."
A veiled warning to the authorities
Bira Sène's successor insists he has "suffered injustices" and delivers this message: "A promise is sacred to me. The recipient of this message will recognize themselves. Terms agreed upon between two people must be respected."
He justifies his current silence by explaining that he prefers to keep his remarks on the establishment of the federation to himself so as not to oppose the candidates. "Power is not given to fight adversaries. That's something to avoid. Because, beyond the office, there is the human relationship to maintain with people," he concluded.
