Fédération sénégalaise de football : Plus d’un milliard F CFA validé pour accompagner les clubs
Meeting on Friday, February 27, 2026 in Dakar, the Emergency Committee of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), under the chairmanship of Abdoulaye Fall, adopted twelve strategic resolutions aimed at strengthening governance, supporting clubs and modernizing the infrastructure of Senegalese football.
The key decision of this meeting concerns financial support for affiliated clubs. A total of 1,218,750,000 CFA francs has been approved to support teams participating in national and regional competitions. This measure aims to alleviate the clubs' structural costs and improve the competitiveness of the leagues.
In the same vein, the committee approved the settlement of arrears owed to referees for the 2024-2025 season, amounting to 95,846,500 CFA francs. The relevant departments of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) and the Senegalese Professional Football League (LSFP) have been instructed to optimize the scheduling and regularity of payments to avoid any further delays.
New administrative and institutional dynamics
In terms of assets, the Emergency Committee approved the transfer to the new FSF headquarters, the allocation plan for which will be finalized by the administration.
In parallel, a technical and administrative audit of the land files of the regional leagues will be launched to secure existing infrastructure.
The modernization of the decentralized administration was also confirmed, with a program to equip regional headquarters and the recruitment of permanent staff, in order to ensure the continuity of the public football service throughout the territory.
Logistics support and infrastructure recovery
To ease the burden on amateur and women's clubs, the FSF has approved a protocol for reimbursing transport costs (round trip) for teams playing in National 1, National 2 and in divisions 1 and 2 of women's football.
Another priority project is the resumption of work on the Demba Diop stadium, in close collaboration with FIFA and potential private partners. The rehabilitation of this iconic stadium should offer new opportunities for local football and national competitions.
Emphasis on training and legal security
The development of grassroots football is also among the priorities. A working session will soon bring together the National Technical Directorate, the Youth Football Commission, and the leagues to operationalize the new format for youth competitions proposed by the president's advisor, Mayacine Mar.
From a legal standpoint, the relevant departments of the FSF and the LSFP have been mandated to submit, before March 31, 2026, a draft framework agreement clarifying the relationship between the two entities. Agreements with affiliated groups, notably ONCAV and CONEF, will also be reviewed.
The Emergency Committee has set the meeting of the Executive Committee (COMEX) for March 13, 2026, while the general assembly is confirmed for April 11, 2026.
Finally, the recruitment deadlines have been set: the national technical director must be appointed no later than March 15, 2026 and the national selectors before March 30, 2026.
With these major decisions, the FSF reaffirms its commitment to consolidating governance, professionalizing its structures and establishing Senegalese football in a sustainable dynamic of performance and modernization.
