Tom Saintfiet, ex-sélectionneur du Mali
The Malian Football Federation (FEMAFOOT) officially announced on Tuesday evening the end of its collaboration with its national team coach, Tom Saintfiet. The announcement was made via a statement published on the federation's Facebook page.
The new president of FEMAFOOT paid tribute to the Belgian coach for his time at the helm of the Eagles. He praised his professionalism and dedication, particularly during the last Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.
"As you come to the end of your mission at the head of the Malian national A team, I would like, on behalf of the Malian Football Federation and in my own name, to express my sincere thanks for the work accomplished," the statement said.
During his tenure, Tom Saintfiet distinguished himself through his commitment, rigor, and ability to maintain team cohesion in a sometimes demanding environment. He also contributed to structuring the team's technical work and proudly represented Mali on the continental stage.
The Malian Football Federation (FEMAFOOT) emphasizes that his tenure was part of a positive dynamic that helped consolidate the national team's sporting foundations. However, no name has been put forward to succeed him as head coach of the Eagles.
