Anderson, ancien joueur de Manchester United, doit rembourser 165 000€ de pensions alimentaires pour éviter la prison

A former Manchester United player from 2007 to 2015, Anderson, who notably won the Champions League in 2008, is now facing a prison sentence in his hometown of Porto Alegre (Brazil) for not paying child support for his son.

Anderson, who retired in 2019 at the age of 31, is now facing problems unrelated to football. According to Marca , the former Brazilian midfielder faces jail time in his hometown of Porto Alegre for failing to pay child support for his son.

The Family Court ruled that he will have to spend 30 days in custody if he does not pay the equivalent of €165,000, corresponding to the overdue payments up to July 28. The judgment, handed down on September 3, was only made public this week. Anderson, for his part, has not yet commented on the matter.

Having joined Manchester United in 2007 from FC Porto for €31.5 million, he spent eight seasons in England. Under Sir Alex Ferguson, he won four Premier League titles (2008, 2009, 2011, 2013) as well as the Champions League in 2008.
