Franc vs Tapha Tine : face à face autorisé, une dérogation en question
After temporarily banning face-offs and open press conferences to curb the resurgence of violence in the arena, the Senegalese Wrestling Federation (FSL) has finally granted an exemption to promoter Mansour Ba. This decision allows the organization of the final verbal confrontation between Franc and Tapha Tine, as a prelude to their fight on February 15.
According to the minutes of the crisis meeting held on Monday and consulted by the sports daily Record, this exceptional measure is strictly regulated:
"The president of the FSL, [Bira Sène], granted a derogation to the promoter Mansour Ba for the organization of this ceremony, subject to strict compliance with the measures taken," the document specifies.
The agreement with law enforcement comes with draconian conditions to prevent any disturbances. It is now required that "any wrestler summoned must avoid traveling with supporters" and that they be "accompanied only by their manager and coach."
The official report is also very firm on the expected behavior on the 2STV set: it is imperative that "verbal abuse and mystical practices be strictly prohibited." The wrestlers must ensure that they "keep their distance from one another to avoid any physical contact, which is often the cause of incidents."
Finally, the ceremony, which begins at 9 p.m., must absolutely end "without exceeding midnight".
