Match amical Angola - Argentine à Luanda: Ce que pense le coach Lionel Scaloni des Palancas Negras
Argentina played a friendly match against Angola yesterday, Friday, November 14th, at the Estadio 11 de Novembro in Luanda. This rather improbable encounter ended in a 2-0 victory for the visitors. Messi provided the assist for Lautaro Martinez's opening goal late in the first half. The Inter Milan striker returned the favor to his captain, setting him up for the second goal in the 82nd minute.
12 million euros spent to bring the world champions to Luanda
The Angolans never managed to trouble the world champions, who therefore leave with a victory and a handsome sum of 12 million euros.
This is indeed the amount paid by Luanda to the Argentine Football Federation to obtain the organization of this match which was part of the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the country's independence.
"They have fast players"
In a press conference, Argentinian coach Lionel Scaloni focused on the qualities of the Angolan team.
"You always learn by playing a match against opponents you don't know well and who are as physically strong as Angola. It's a good test. They have fast players," the coach remarked.
It must be said that the Palancas Negras gave the world champions a real run for their money for much of the first half. Proof of this is that they opened the scoring in the 44th minute.
