FSF : après Ouest Foire et Liberté 6, cap sur Keur Gorgui
The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) is preparing to leave its premises in Liberté 6 and move into an imposing 11-story building in the Keur Gorgui district. This new, more spacious headquarters is intended to bring together the FSF, the Amateur League, and potentially the Professional League under one roof, according to Les Échos in its edition of Friday, February 27.
The newspaper notes that this is the third relocation of the federal body since 2009 (after Ouest Foire and Liberté 6). This constant movement is justified by the "cramped" premises in the face of the growing development of national football activities; the current six-story building is no longer sufficient to house all the services.
The enigma of the clean seat
However, this latest relocation raises questions. Les Échos reports that many observers are wondering why the FSF, despite its significant financial resources and international prestige, isn't prioritizing the construction of a permanent headquarters of its own. A custom-built facility would offer lasting stability and avoid the costs and logistical disruptions associated with these repeated moves.
