The situation appears to be taking a more serious turn than expected for Santos. While it seemed the conflict between the club and the two players might have been resolved, Robinho Jr. and his entourage have reportedly notified Santos' management of their intention to take action and given them 48 hours to implement their plans, according to Brazilian media outlet Globo Esporte. Among the four measures mentioned by the son of the Brazilian legend are talks regarding a potential termination of his contract.

The incident, which reportedly began after the 18-year-old dribbled past Neymar during training, escalated into a physical and verbal altercation. The former Paris Saint-Germain player apparently took offense at the dribble and attacked the young player, first tripping him before slapping him. Robinho Jr.'s entourage is reportedly citing an atmosphere that has become incompatible with his continued commitment to the club and denouncing the incident as an assault, highlighting a lack of "minimum safety conditions" to justify a possible contract termination.

An internal investigation has been launched.

In a letter from Robinho's camp addressed to Santos, and subsequently obtained by Globo Esporte, the player reportedly requested an internal investigation to determine what happened, the release of footage from the training session, and a statement from the club regarding the measures taken, all within 48 hours. Faced with these accusations, Santos has apparently launched an internal investigation to establish the facts and assess potential disciplinary action.

Considered one of the club's brightest prospects, Robinho Jr. could thus leave Santos prematurely. This scenario is still contingent on the outcome of the ongoing legal proceedings. As for Neymar, the outcome of this affair is obviously unknown, but it could prove costly for him.
