Golden Boy 2025 : Désiré Doué couronné
Just hours before their Champions League match against Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain received some good news. The capital club has earned another accolade. After Ousmane Dembélé won the 2025 Ballon d'Or, PSG can now celebrate the 2025 Golden Boy award, given to Désiré Doué (20 years old, 8 matches and 3 goals in all competitions this season). The French attacking midfielder received this trophy, awarded to the best European player under 21, on Tuesday, according to the Italian daily Tuttosport.
The French international was the overwhelming favorite this year, despite competition from Dean Huijsen (Real Madrid), Kenan Yildiz (Juventus), Pau Cubarsí (FC Barcelona), Arda Güler (Real Madrid), Estêvão (Chelsea), and Rodrigo Mora (Porto). His PSG teammates, Warren Zaïre-Emery and Senny Mayulu, were also among the 25 finalists. Doué thus becomes the first Frenchman to win this award since Kylian Mbappé in 2017.
