Grand-Yoff : Violents affrontements entre supporters après un match de Navétanes

The popular football festival turned into a nightmare on Sunday evening in Grand Yoff. Violent clashes erupted between fans after the Navétanes championship semi-final between ASC Grand-Yoff 1 and ASC Khar Yalla at the municipal stadium.

A victory that sets the neighborhood alight

The incidents erupted around 5 p.m. after the match, won by ASC Khar Yalla. The victory of one team and the defeat of the other quickly escalated into clashes between rival supporters in several locations in the neighborhood.

Stone throwing and barricades

Oscillating between overflowing joy for some and bitter disappointment for others, young people engaged in acts of violence. Stone throwing and the erection of barricades on certain roads: demonstrations of jubilation and anger disrupted the peace in several areas of the town.

Law enforcement intervention

Faced with the escalation of violence, the Grand Yoff district police station deployed, reinforced by a sentry, to restore order. Police forces intervened in the neighborhoods of Grand-Yoff 1, Khar Yalla, Gal Gui, Darou, and Bar 44.

Calm did not return to the entire area until shortly after 9 p.m., more than four hours after the incidents began.

Seven arrests and material damage

A total of seven people were arrested for the purposes of the investigation. In addition, a complaint was filed after the windshield of a vehicle parked near the municipal stadium was smashed.

Navétanes devenus poison et l'État via le Ministère des sports assistent avec irresponsabilité et manque de courage ces violences au quotidien. Bientôt le début de l'année scolaire. Comment voulez vous que la Jeunesse et le Pays avancent ???

Il est vraiment Grand temps pour la Ministre des Sports et Celui de L'intérieur d'arrêter cette escroquerie financière qui n'a que trop duré et qui profite juste à une petite bande habituée à l'argent facile au détriment de jeunes qui n'ont absolument Rien compris
