Incidents Guédiawaye / SONACOS : Guédiawaye FC lourdement sanctionné
The Senegalese Professional Football League (LSFP) has taken strong action following the serious incidents that occurred during the Guédiawaye FC / SONACOS match (1-2), played as part of the 5th day of Ligue 1. The governing body has announced a series of severe sanctions against the club from the suburbs of Dakar.
According to the official report, Guédiawaye FC will have to play its next three "home" matches behind closed doors and on neutral ground. This is a significant measure, intended to prevent any recurrence of the incident and to remind clubs of their security obligations. In addition, a fine of 2 million CFA francs has been imposed for the disturbances that occurred.
The LSFP also decided to deduct one point from the league standings, a sporting sanction that could have serious consequences for the rest of the season for Guédiawaye, who currently sit at the bottom of the table.
The seriousness of the incidents has prompted the League to launch a more thorough investigation. This aims to identify the managers, officials, and supporters involved in the disturbances. These individuals will be sanctioned individually, in accordance with the rules of professional football and general legal provisions, the official report further stated.
With this decision, the Pro League intends to reaffirm its zero tolerance for acts of violence in stadiums, a scourge that continues to threaten the image of national football.

C'est bien mais on peut aller plus loin concernant le retrait de points. Il fallait retirer 6 points l'équivalent de deux matchs perdus d'avance
