Messi bientôt de retour au Barça ?
Still very attached to FC Barcelona, Lionel Messi does not rule out a return to the club… but not as a player.
Based in the United States with Inter Miami, the 38-year-old Argentinian is closely following Barcelona's news as the presidential election approaches in March. According to the Spanish media outlet Sport, the World Cup winner has opened the door to a future involvement in Barça's sporting structure, provided that the club's governance evolves and that a relationship of trust exists with the next president.
Messi, however, remains aloof from the current electoral process: he will not meet with any candidates and will not take a public stance, as his relationship with Joan Laporta remains strained since his departure. Absent on election day due to his MLS commitments, he is prioritizing discretion. In the longer term, the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner is considering returning to live in Barcelona after the end of his American contract.
