Coupe de la Ligue 2025-2026 : la LSFP dévoile une revalorisation des primes

The Senegalese Professional Football League (LSFP) has announced a series of major measures that mark a turning point for the 2025-2026 edition of the League Cup, dedicated to players under 20. With a new naming rights deal in the works, a significant increase in prize money, and travel expenses covered, the governing body is clearly demonstrating its ambition to elevate the competition to a higher level.

A new naming convention is being finalized.

In its official statement, the LSFP announced that the 2025-2026 League Cup will have a new naming rights sponsor. This partnership, currently being finalized, will be unveiled in the coming weeks. This development reflects the growing appeal of the competition to private partners and its increasing prominence within the Senegalese professional football landscape.

Another key announcement: a substantial increase in prize money. For this edition, the LSFP has decided to boost the bonuses at all levels of the competition, in order to better reward the clubs' sporting investment. Thus, the winner will receive 15,000,000 FCFA and the runner-up will take home 5,000,000 FCFA. The third-place team will receive 2,000,000 FCFA and the fourth-place team will receive 1,000,000 FCFA.

The quarter-finalists will each receive 500,000 FCFA. The teams eliminated in the round of 16 will each receive 250,000 FCFA.

According to the LSFP, every match played and every journey completed deserves concrete recognition, in a spirit of fairness and motivation for all teams involved.

Travel expenses fully covered

In the interest of equal opportunity, the LSFP has also decided to cover all travel expenses for clubs throughout the competition. This significant measure aims to remove the logistical and financial constraints that could hinder the participation of some clubs.

With these new provisions, the 2025-2026 edition reaches a significant milestone. The LSFP (Senegalese Professional Football League) reaffirms its commitment to making the League Cup a benchmark competition, both in terms of sporting excellence and organization. The governing body now relies on the commitment and high standards of the clubs to offer the public a top-quality sporting event, benefiting the entire Senegalese professional football community.
