Ligue 1 - 14e journée : Gorée accrochée, AJEL rate le coche

The 14th round of matches in the Senegalese Ligue 1 took place this weekend in stadiums across the country. Despite being held to a 1-1 draw at home by Wallydaan of Thiès, US Gorée maintains its top spot in the standings with 24 points. Thanks to a superior goal difference, the islanders lead AJEL of Rufisque (2nd, 24 points), who were surprisingly defeated 2-0 by Linguère of Saint-Louis.

In the "National Classico," Casa Sports (3rd, 23 pts) were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Jaraaf, while Teungueth FC secured a valuable victory against Dakar Sacré-Cœur (2-0). Thanks to this win, the Rufisque-based team climbs to 4th place with 23 points.

At the Parcelles-Assainies municipal stadium, AS Pikine (5th, 20 pts) were surprised by AS Cambérène (1-0). This valuable victory allows the club, ranked 15th with 11 pts, to relinquish last place in the standings to Guédiawaye FC (16th, 8 pts), who were held to a draw by Stade de Mbour (0-0).

Playing away at the Djibril Diagne stadium in Déni Biram Ndao, US Ouakam earned an important point by holding Génération Foot to a draw (0-0).

The ASC HLM-Sonacos de Diourbel match is scheduled for this Monday.
