Ligue 1 : Ancelotti trouve un accord avec Lille
Ancelotti has been announced as the new coach of Lille. However, it is not Carlo Ancelotti, who is expected to take over as Brazil's coach for the 2026 World Cup, but rather his son Davide.
Heavily linked with Lille in recent days, the Italian coach will succeed Bruno Genesio at the helm of Les Dogues.
According to information from the Spanish daily "Marca" this Thursday, Davide Ancelotti has reached an agreement with the northern club to become the new coach of LOSC.
For Lille, who finished 3rd in Ligue 1 last season, this choice appears to be a real gamble. While Davide Ancelotti has solid experience at the highest level as his father's assistant at Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton, Real Madrid, and with the Brazilian national team, his experience as a head coach remains limited.
The Italian has only managed one team as head coach: Botafogo, between July and December 2025. A short experience with a mixed record of 12 wins, 9 draws and 6 losses.
Despite this lack of experience, Lille is banking on the potential and modernity of the young Italian coach.
