The Senegalese Ligue 1 resumes this weekend with Matchday 16, the first round of the second half of the season. The highlight is the explosive duel between US Gorée and Teungueth FC, a direct clash for the top spot, on a day that is crucial both for the title race and the relegation battle.

The first day of the second half of the season will be dominated by the top-of-the-table clash between league leaders US Gorée (27 pts) and Teungueth FC (4th, 24 pts). A highly anticipated match, with first place in the championship at stake.

Second in the standings with the same number of points as the leader, AJEL of Rufisque (27 pts) hosts Sonacos of Diourbel (11th, 18 pts). The Rufisque side, coming off a convincing 2-0 victory against Génération Foot, will try to secure a second consecutive win against a struggling Diourbel team.

Still near the top of the table, Casa Sports (3rd, 24 pts) travel to face AS Cambérène (15th, 12 pts). A fiery encounter is expected between Casa Sports, eager to take the lead, and Cambérène, fighting to escape the relegation zone.

4th place AS Pikine (21 pts) faces US Ouakam (10th, 17 pts) in a duel between popular clubs that promises a spectacle.
