Ligue 2 / 14e journée : Diambars et Oslo FA pour mettre la pression sur le leader l’AS Douanes
The 14th and final matchday of the first half of the Ligue 2 season takes place this weekend. League leaders AS Douanes host Essamaye FC of Ziguinchor (12th , 14 points). The Customs Officers (1st , 23 points), eager to consolidate their top spot, will nevertheless have to be wary of a Ziguinchor side known for its strong away form.
Still near the top of the table, Diambars (2nd, 20 points) travel to Louga to face Ndiambour (14th, 13 points). The Academicians, boasting the second-best attack in the league with 12 goals scored, will be aiming for three points to keep the pressure on AS Douanes.
Third with 20 points, Oslo FA hosts Thiès FC (13th, 14 points). Having lost their previous match against AS Kaffrine, the Oslo FA Academy players will be eager to bounce back at home and stay in touch with the league leaders.
Fourth in the standings, AS Saloum is coming off two consecutive victories. Traveling to face their neighbors Jamono Fatick, the Saloum-Saloum side will be looking to finish the first half of the season on a high note.
In the bottom half of the table, Port (15th, 12 points), second to last in the standings, will try to get back on track against DUC (6th, 18 points). At the Ngor municipal stadium, Niarry Tally (8th, 17 points) hosts Guélewaars (10th, 16 points) in an interesting match between two teams desperate for points to stay in touch with the leading pack.
At the Alassane Djigo Stadium, Teranga SC (7th, 17 points) hosts Amitié FC, bottom of the table with 11 points. Having drawn their last two matches, Teranga SC will be looking for a win to climb closer to the top three. Meanwhile, AS Kaffrine (9th, 17 points) will be aiming for their third consecutive victory, playing away at AS Bambey (11th, 16 points).
