Ligue 2 - 21e journée : Essamaye freiné, l’AS Douanes récupère la 2e place
The 21st day of Ligue 2, which started on Sunday, concluded this Monday with several noteworthy results at both the top and bottom of the standings.
League leaders Essamaye FC (34 points) were held to a 0-0 draw by Oslo FA. This result benefits AS Douanes, who move into second place with the same number of points (34) after their comfortable 2-0 victory over AS Kaffrine.
Third-placed AS Saloum (33 pts) suffered a setback, drawing 0-0 against Port. Meanwhile, Diambars FC (4th, 32 pts), who were aiming for first place, were surprisingly defeated at home by Amitié FC of Thiès (0-1).
At the Ngor municipal stadium, the clash between Niary Tally and DUC ended in a draw (1-1); a result that does not help either team, still in search of points to stay in touch with the leading pack.
At home, AS Bambey (5th, 31 pts) did what was necessary by winning against Teranga SC (2-0).
In the relegation battle, Guéléwaars of Fatick (8th, 27 pts) pulled off a great result by defeating Ndiambour in Louga (1-0). The other Fatick team, Jamono (9th, 27 pts), also secured a victory, beating Thiès FC (1-0).
