Litige contractuel : Habib Bèye et le Stade Rennais devant la LFP
The split between Habib Bèye and Stade Rennais has taken a legal turn. Unable to reach an agreement on the terms of the separation, the two parties now find themselves before the Legal Commission of the Professional Football League (LFP), which is scheduled to examine the case next Tuesday as part of a conciliation procedure, according to information revealed by "L'Équipe".
Pending the outcome of this mediation, the Breton club has initiated legal proceedings against its former coach and his three assistants. As an interim measure, the management has entrusted the reins of the first team to Sébastien Tambouret, pending the announced arrival of Franck Haise.
According to the sports daily, Habib Bèye was dismissed for gross misconduct. A decision he vehemently contests. The former Rennes coach is reportedly claiming compensation equivalent to eighteen months' salary, including an automatic contract extension clause stipulated in the event of European qualification.
Despite several exchanges in recent days, the discussions have not brought the positions closer together, leaving the dispute unresolved.
In this already tense context, the name of the former Senegalese international is circulating insistently in connection with Olympique de Marseille, where he could succeed Roberto De Zerbi. This rumor adds a sensitive sporting dimension to an explosive legal situation.
