‘’Liverpool ne joue plus au football, il joue au basketball’’ : Carragher s’acharne sur Slot
The Reds suffered their third consecutive defeat on Saturday against Chelsea (1-2) on Matchday 7 of the Premier League. This setback relegates Liverpool to second place in the standings, in favor of Arsenal. Dutch coach Arne Slot was not spared by club legend Jamie Carragher following this poor performance.
"Liverpool aren't playing football right now; they're playing basketball. It's just back and forth, and I don't think the best teams play like that," the former defender told Sky Sports.
"I had already raised my concerns about the manager at the start of the season, and he obviously knows a lot more than I do. He's obviously a fantastic manager. But right now, Liverpool have gone from a top-flight, hard-working team last season to a team where we've sprinkled a little bit of magic with the new signings. Except they haven't won anything offensively and they've lost a lot defensively," Carragher added.
