Mali : Les gros objectifs assignés au nouveau sélectionneur des Aigles, Anthony da Silva
In a statement published on its digital channels, the Malian Football Federation (Femafoot) announced the signing of a three-year contract with the new coach of the Eagles, Anthony da Silva. Priority objectives have been assigned to the Portuguese coach.
He must in particular qualify Mali for the AFCON-2027 and reach the semi-finals of the competition; obtain qualification for the Eagles for the following AFCON and reach the final.
His mission is to qualify the team for the 2030 World Cup.
Fematoot also expects the Iberian to qualify Mali for the 2030 World Cup.
To achieve these objectives, the governing body of Malian football authorizes Mr. da Silva to recruit part of his technical staff, including his second assistant, a physical trainer, a video analyst and a physiotherapist.
He will reside in Bamako
The assistant coach will be of Malian nationality.
Anthony da Silva "will reside in Bamako in order to ensure continuous monitoring of national football, local competitions and players playing in the country, in close collaboration with the national technical directorate."
