Matam : Quand la NBA débarque à Agnam Thiodaye pour inaugurer un complexe de 185 millions
Agnam Thiodaye, a village in the commune of Agnam (Matam department), yesterday received a new educational building and sports complex worth 185 million CFA francs. These facilities, built within the grounds of the Collège d'enseignement moyen (CEM), were inaugurated in the presence of the Deputy Governor, the Chief of Staff to the Minister of National Education, and the President of NBA Africa, Amadou Gallo Fall.
Having already funded several preschool and elementary school projects, Mamoudou Demba Sall, a native of the village now living in the United States, has turned his attention to middle school. In collaboration with foreign partners, he has built a two-story building with six classrooms, a basketball court, and a mini-soccer field with artificial turf.
During the ceremony, the Deputy Governor praised this community commitment, noting that each new classroom represents a major achievement for the Matam region, which often faces structural challenges in accessing education. For her part, the representative from the Ministry of Education commended the donor's spirit, emphasizing that investing in a school is laying a foundation for the future of the entire region.
