Senegalese hurdler Louis François Mendy Will put in a strong performance at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo. Competing in heat 2 of the 110m hurdles, he qualified for the semi-finals with a solid time of 13.33 seconds.
Faced with strong competition, Mendy kept his cool and managed his race intelligently. Thanks to an explosive start and excellent race stance, he finished within the qualifying time, placing him among the best in his series.
With this time of 13.33 seconds, he confirms his rise to power this season, after several promising performances in international meetings.
This qualification is good news for Senegalese athletics, which sees Louis François Mendy Will as one of its most serious medal hopes. His steady progress and strong mental strength could well allow him to make his way to the final.
