Mondiaux de kickboxing : La moisson de médailles des Sénégalais
Senegal, which entered eight fighters, won five medals at the World Kickboxing Championships, which took place from October 7 to 12 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The country ranked 28th out of 36 participants.
The prize went to Mame Diarra Diop, gold medalist in the -60 kg category. Le Soleil, which provided the information, reports that the Tamba native, at just 17 years old, has given Senegal "one of its greatest international successes."
Tafsir Bâ, for his part, won silver in the -91 kg category, the newspaper continues. "The other Senegalese medals were won by Alphousseyni Dramé, Ndèye Khady Diallo and Oumar Baldé, all of whom won bronze," the same source adds.
