Maroc: Maitre Patrick Kabou dénonce les irrégularités dans le dossier des 18 supporters sénégalais détenus à Rabat
Lawyer Patrick Kabou expressed his outrage at the irregularities observed in the case of the 18 Senegalese supporters detained in Rabat, Morocco, since January 18, 2026.
In a published message, he denounces the fact that the civil party had access to the procedure, while the defense did not have the same privilege.
"We have just been informed that the procedure is available; finally, shortly. The civil party has had the procedure for a long time, until they sent us their conclusions. Another defense lawyer also had the procedure, until they were able to plead yesterday in court for their client. But we, for the rights of the 18 hostages, were not entitled to it," he explained.
The lawyer also denounced the restrictions imposed on him to access the court, his workplace. "I also hope to be able to enter the court, a lawyer's workplace, without restrictions, on February 19, 2026," he wrote.
Attorney Kabou is asking the King's Prosecutor to allow him to communicate with his clients and inform them of the status of their case. "At least I could tell our 18 hostages exactly what is going on, if the King's Prosecutor allows me to, of course, because I don't yet have that right," he concluded.
