Nicolas Jackson au Bayern: «J’ai hâte que les matchs commencent »
Officially presented this Friday by Bayern Munich, Nicolas Jackson expressed his joy at joining the Bavarian club. "I'm really happy to be here and to train with the team. I already know some of the players and I can't wait for the matches to start," said the Senegalese striker, who could make his debut as early as tomorrow against Hamburg.
Asked about the differences between the Premier League and the Bundesliga, the former Chelsea player preferred to play it safe. "I don't know the difference yet, because I haven't played yet. I hope I'll know the difference tomorrow. I've played in Spain and England, and maybe here for the first time tomorrow," he added.
Regarding his transfer, the former Casa Sport player admitted to having gone through "difficult times," but insisted he always had the conviction to join Munich. "I was very confident about staying here, because this is where I wanted to be. I had already spoken with the coach and the club's management. I'm happy to be here," he insisted, before clarifying his role. "Obviously, I'm a number 9, but I can also play as a second striker. I just want to help the team and play for the coach and the club," he assured.
