Premier League, 37e journée : Tottenham de Pape Matar Sarr toujours pas sauvé de la relégation
The relegation battle in the Premier League remains wide open. Tottenham Hotspur, with Pape Matar Sarr in the lineup, were defeated 2-1 by Chelsea FC on Monday in the 37th round of matches and have yet to secure their place in the English top flight.
Back from injury, the Senegalese midfielder nevertheless delivered an encouraging performance, including an assist. But it wasn't enough to prevent another disappointing result for Spurs, who remain under pressure before the final matchday of the season.
With 38 points, Tottenham maintains a narrow lead over West Ham, currently in the relegation zone with 36 points. The battle to avoid relegation is therefore expected to be extremely tense until the very end.
Burnley and Wolverhampton have already been condemned and know their fate, but the identity of the third club relegated to the Championship remains unknown.
Everything will come down to next Sunday's final matchday. West Ham will host Leeds United while Tottenham will welcome Everton in a game that could be decisive for Spurs' future in the Premier League.
