Préparation des JOJ Dakar-2026 : Le judo sénégalais en immersion en France
For several weeks, a delegation of young Senegalese judokas from the Judo Academy of the Lamine Guèye High School and College in Dakar set up camp in France for an intensive training camp. The goal was to strengthen technical skills, hone talents, and, above all, lay the foundations for an ambitious Olympic journey ahead of the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, according to a press release from the Senegalese Judo and Associated Disciplines Federation (FSJDA).
Led by their head coach, Alexandre Diedhiou, the young athletes followed a rigorous program combining high-level training sessions and cultural discoveries. A way to forge both body and mind in an environment conducive to excellence.
Under the coordination of Cathy Fleury, Olympic champion and leading figure in French judo, several renowned experts shared their expertise, including Yann Benoit, Céline Lebrun, Séverine Vandehende, Hadrien Livolsi, Dimitri Dragin, Riki Iwamoto and Nolwenn Le Troadec. Their support offered the young Senegalese a unique educational immersion, confronting them with the standards of the best French youth centers.
This course is the result of a partnership between the FSJDA, France Judo and the French Embassy in Senegal.
