Préparatifs des JOJ 2026 : Le Président Diomaye en visite de chantier au complexe équestre de la Gendarmerie à Diamniadio

On Sunday, March 1, 2026, the President of the Republic, Bassirou Diomaye Diakhar FAYE, visited the construction site of the complex intended to host the equestrian activities of the 2026 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) scheduled to take place in Senegal.

He was accompanied by the Minister of the Armed Forces, the Minister of Infrastructure, the Minister of Sports, as well as the Major General, High Commander of the National Gendarmerie and Director of Military Justice.

During this visit, the Head of State took a look at the infrastructure under construction, which will eventually house the Mounted Cavalry Group of the National Gendarmerie and its related services.

Following the visit, and in accordance with the Olympic timetable, guidelines and instructions were given to the project manager and his team to redouble their efforts and mobilize more resources to complete the construction projects as quickly as possible.
