PSG-ARSENAL: INSULTÉ PAR DES SUPPORTERS PARISIENS, NASRI RENONCE À LA FINALE À BUDAPEST
Samir Nasri will not be a pundit for Canal+ in Budapest. Booed by PSG Ultras in Munich during the Champions League semi-final, the former Marseille player will remain in France this Saturday and provide his analysis from the Paris studio of the pay-TV channel.
His past with Olympique de Marseille is something he's always been associated with. Although he was supposed to travel to Budapest as a consultant for Canal+ for the Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal this Saturday, Samir Nasri will ultimately remain in France.
According to Le Parisien, the former Marseille player doesn't want to relive the experience of the semi-final in Munich, where he was targeted by Parisian supporters every time he appeared on the sidelines. Samir Nasri, simply by virtue of being a former Olympian, was booed and insulted by PSG ultras, some of whom directly referenced his tax problems. David Ginola, who also played for the capital club and alongside Nasri, was applauded.
Nasri present on set in Paris
In lieu of going to Budapest, Samir Nasri will be present at the Canal+ offices in Paris, alongside Hervé Mathoux and Mickaël Landreau, to dissect the Champions League final after the match.
On the sidelines in Hungary, Laure Boulleau and David Ginola, both former Parisians, will be the consultants for Canal+ and will be accompanied by Robert Pirès, who won the Champions League with Arsenal in 2006.
