Qualifications Coupe du monde : L’Afrique du Sud solide leader, l’Ouganda écrase le Mozambique
The seventh day of World Cup qualifying continues in Africa. In Group C, South Africa consolidated its first place with a 3-0 victory over Lesotho. This victory allows Bafana Bafana (1st, 16 points) to move five points ahead of Benin, who beat Zimbabwe 1-0. In the same group, Nigeria (4th, 7 points), who host Rwanda, will have no room for error if they want to keep their chances of qualifying alive.
In Group E, Burkina Faso pulled off the victory of the day, beating Djibouti (6-0). Despite this big victory, the Stallions (2nd, 14 pts) remain two points behind Egypt, who are hosting Ethiopia.
Finally, in Group G, Uganda dominated Mozambique (4-0). A success which allows the Cranes (12 pts) to climb to 2nd place, six points behind Algeria (1st, 18 pts).
