Real Madrid : une légende du club soutient la piste Didier Deschamps
A title-less season is increasingly looming for Real Madrid. Despite a potential comeback in La Liga against a solid FC Barcelona, who hold a nine-point lead, the future seems uncertain for Los Blancos. In this delicate situation, Álvaro Arbeloa's time as Madrid manager may not be long-term.
Several candidates are being considered to succeed him, including Didier Deschamps. The current manager of the French national team, which he is leading in what is expected to be his last World Cup, the former coach of AS Monaco and Olympique de Marseille is on the shortlist of the Madrid management, who are attracted by his profile and experience.
An option endorsed by Luis Figo. The former Ballon d'Or winner in 2000, who played five seasons for the Spanish club, believes Deschamps possesses the qualities required to succeed in Madrid: "You French should be grateful for what he has achieved with the national team. A new chapter is beginning for him, and with the quality of players you have, it would be possible to build two very competitive teams. I think he has the experience and the personality necessary to succeed at the highest level."
