Real Madrid : fin de saison pour Mbappé ?
The end of the season looks particularly complicated for Kylian Mbappé. On a collective level, Real Madrid is heading towards another season without a major trophy, the second consecutive year without one, a period that coincides with the French striker's presence in the Spanish capital.
Heavily criticized in recent weeks, particularly by some Real Madrid fans, the former Paris Saint-Germain player is being singled out for his on-field behavior. This situation is fueling a certain unease surrounding his case.
Having picked up an injury during the match against Real Betis this weekend, Mbappé is reportedly suffering from a slight muscle strain. However, some observers in Madrid remain skeptical and even suggest the injury might be exaggerated in order to protect him for upcoming international fixtures, particularly the World Cup. This hypothesis was notably put forward by journalist Tomás Roncero.
But another statement is causing even more of a stir in Spain. Josep Pedrerol, the well-known presenter of the El Chiringuito program and considered close to Florentino Pérez, dropped a bombshell. According to him, the match against Betis could very well be Mbappé's last game this season with Real Madrid. "I think he won't play again this season because of his injury," he stated.
An announcement which, if confirmed, would add a little more tension to an already very turbulent end to the season for the Madrid club and its French star.
