Real Madrid haven't been doing very well in recent weeks. Xabi Alonso's team have lost their last two matches at the Santiago Bernabéu. In a recent interview with the newspaper L'Équipe, Karim Benzema offered suggestions for a more effective Real Madrid attack alongside Kylian Mbappé.
"As long as everyone knows what they have to do on the field, it's over."
“What they’re missing is just a connection between Vinicius, Bellingham, Mbappé and Rodrygo. Bellingham needs to understand that he’s a playmaker, not a center forward, he’s not a goalscorer. Mbappé isn’t a playmaker, he’s a goalscorer. Vinicius isn’t a defensive midfielder, he’s a winger. As long as everyone knows what they have to do on the pitch, it’s all over,” said the Al Ittihad striker.
"He's the one who will lead Real Madrid to trophies."
Regarding Kylian Mbappé, he believes he was recruited to win for Real Madrid, which is well within his capabilities. He simply needs to "take on that pressure and step into the role of attacking leader, because he's the one who will lead Real to trophies," asserts the Lyon native.
