The round of 32 of the Senegalese Cup, which began on Wednesday, concluded on Thursday. Defending champions Génération Foot secured their place in the round of 16 with a 2-0 victory over AJEL of Rufisque in a match between two Ligue 1 clubs.

In the other match between two top-flight teams, Dakar Sacré-Cœur ended Linguère de Saint-Louis's run with a 2-1 victory. Meanwhile, Ligue 1 leaders US Gorée avoided an upset against Renaissance de Dakar, securing their place in the next round after a penalty shootout (0-0, 5-4 on penalties).

The day's biggest upset came courtesy of Don Bosco. The Tambacounda-based club, playing in the National league, caused a major surprise by eliminating Sonacos of Diourbel (2-0). Second in Ligue 2, Diambars FC edged out Thiès FC (1-0), while Essamaye FC of Ziguinchor defeated AS Cambérène by the narrowest of margins (1-0).

Finally, AS Pikine, a Ligue 1 club, secured a commanding victory against Penc de Louga (3-0), thus validating their qualification for the next round.
