Trône de Sa Thiès : « Ce n'est qu'une couronne », Tapha Guèye minimise et pousse un coup de gueule
Sa Thiès' recent victory over Modou Lô continues to generate numerous reactions in the world of Senegalese wrestling. Among the most notable voices, that of Moustapha Guèye, a former iconic member of the Fass stable, has not gone unnoticed.
Speaking frankly, the "Tiger of Fass" sharply criticized some observers who believe Sa Thiès should take a break after conquering the arena. "Some people understand nothing about sports," he declared, dismissing the idea that the title of King of the Arena necessitates a period of rest or withdrawal.
For the former wrestler, this title remains primarily symbolic. "It's just a crown placed on your head," he stated, urging people to put its importance in managing a career into perspective. According to him, Sa Thiès should under no circumstances slow down; quite the opposite.
Moustapha Guèye advocates for a more dynamic approach: stringing together fights and immediately capitalizing on this prestigious victory. He even mentions the possibility of seeing Sa Thiès back in the arena as early as July. "He can fight before then, why not?" he suggested.
Beyond the sporting aspect, this stance also highlights the economic stakes of the arena. By defeating the reigning king, Modou Lô, the former wrestler believes Sa Thiès has reached a new level. According to him, the new King of the Arena is now worth over 100 million FCFA for his upcoming fights.
