Sénégal–Soudan : les révélations du Président de la FSF sur l'accessibilité des billets
The Abdoulaye Wade Stadium in Diamniadio was abuzz with excitement on Friday, September 5, as Senegal defeated Sudan 2-0. But despite the electric atmosphere, the stands were not full.
Around the stadium, tickets initially priced at 1,000 CFA francs were selling for 5,000 or even 7,000 francs, fueling anger and frustration among the most loyal supporters. For many, this parallel market reinforced a sense of injustice and undermined confidence in the organization.
Worse still, several thousand spectators, even though they had tickets, were unable to enter the stadium. Some, exasperated, ended up climbing the barriers to watch the match.
At the heart of this chaos, ticket management remains the main cause of discontent. Interviewed by Wiwsport, the president of the Senegalese Football Federation, Abdoulaye Fall, acknowledged that the body had focused on online ticketing to facilitate access for as many people as possible. But the massive influx of connections has highlighted the limitations of a system unable to cope with demand.
