The Lions of Teranga will line up in Charlotte with a 4-3-3 formation to face the United States. Coach Pape Thiaw has opted for a central defensive pairing of Mamadou Sarr and Abdoulaye Seck, supported by Krepin Diatta and Ismael Jakobs on the flanks. In goal, second-choice keeper Mory Diaw will start.

The big surprise is the inclusion of Bara Sapoko Ndiaye in the starting lineup. He takes advantage of Idrissa Gana Gueye's injury to earn his first ever cap.
