The Senegalese National Professional Football Championship will undergo a significant change for the upcoming season. According to our information, the Senegalese Professional Football League (LSFP) has decided to suspend the pay-per-view (PPV) system, which was implemented for live broadcasts of matches last season.
This decision, taken under the impetus of the new management team led by President Babacar Ndiaye, responds to strong criticism from supporters who considered this pay-per-view formula too restrictive and expensive.
The abandonment of PPV now raises the crucial question of the new broadcasting strategy. The LSFP has not yet announced whether it will opt for a return to traditional television broadcasting via an audiovisual partner, or whether it will allow clubs to broadcast their matches via their own digital platforms.
Football fans are hoping for a solution that will provide wider, more affordable, or even free, access to watch the competition and support their favorite teams.
