Fédération sénégalaise de football : L’US Ouakam fixée après son recours
The Senegalese Football Federation (FSF) has made its decision. Meeting to examine the appeal filed by US Ouakam, the Appeals Committee upheld some of the sanctions imposed on the club following incidents during the match against ASC Jaraaf. The events date back to the second-round match played on November 9, 2025, at the Ngor Municipal Stadium.
On that day, Ouakam supporters threw projectiles towards assistant referee number 2, causing three interruptions of the game and seriously disrupting the course of the match.
Seized in the first instance, the Disciplinary Commission of the Senegalese Professional Football League had imposed heavy sanctions on US Ouakam: two matches behind closed doors and on neutral ground, accompanied by cumulative fines of 1,500,000 CFA francs, including 500,000 CFA francs for the use of smoke bombs.
Considering the sanction disproportionate, the Ouakam club decided to appeal to the Appeals Committee of the Senegalese Football Federation. After reviewing the case, the committee partially overturned the initial decision.
Although the obligation to play the next two matches on neutral ground is maintained, the financial penalties have been reduced.
Ultimately, US Ouakam was fined a single amount of 500,000 CFA francs, which it must pay before its next official match.
A clear warning from the federal body, which intends to remind clubs of their responsibility in the behavior of their supporters.
