Ligue 1 sénégalaise : cap sur la Norvège pour deux talents de Génération Foot
Two promising Senegalese footballers are heading to Europe. Midfielder Mactar Sylla and right-back Ibrahima Diallo, both products of the Génération Foot academy, have officially signed with Egersunds IK, a club playing in the Norwegian second division.
Having come through the ranks at the Déni Biram Ndao academy, the two young players continue their rise and gain their first experience in Europe. This transfer marks a significant step in their young careers, with the ambition of reaching the next level in a league renowned for its ability to develop talent.
Of the two new signings, Ibrahima Diallo arrives with a solid track record on the international stage. Crowned African U17 champion in 2023 with Senegal, he also took part in the Africa U20 Cup of Nations in Egypt in May 2025. During this competition, the Young Lions were stopped in the quarter-finals by Nigeria, after a penalty shootout (3-1).
With these signings, Génération Foot, which has trained talents such as Sadio Mané, Pape Matar Sarr, Ismaila Sarr and Habib Diallo, confirms once again its role as a springboard to European football.
