Tokyo-2025 : Sept athlètes du Centre africain de développement de l’athlétisme en quête de gloire mondiale
The African Athletics Development Centre (AADC) in Dakar, headed by Olympic medalist El Hadj Amadou Dia Ba, is sending a strong delegation to the World Athletics Championships currently taking place in Tokyo.
Seven AADC athletes from six African countries will represent the continent in several disciplines. Among them, Seychelles sprinter Dylan Sicobo and Togo's Fayza Issakha Abdou Karem will compete in the 100m. Senegal's Louis François Mendy and Niger's Saguirou Badamassi will compete in the 110m hurdles, while Chad's Esther Mingueyam will compete in the 400m. In the triple jump, Senegal will be represented by Saly Sarr, and Cameroon by Herverge Étale Kole, also in the 100m.
These athletes, trained and supported by the AADC, have benefited from quality technical and administrative support that allows them to approach this competition with ambition. "They are ready to give the best of themselves and to honor Africa," emphasizes El Hadji Amadou Dia Bâa.
The African Athletics Development Centre, a structure of the Confederation of African Athletics, is thus continuing its mission: to develop African talents capable of competing at the highest level.
