Tournoi UFOA/A U17 : Entrée difficile pour le Sénégal
The Senegalese Lion Cubs kicked off the UFOA-A U17 qualifying tournament in Mali with a 1-1 draw against Sierra Leone. Trailing in the 12th minute thanks to a goal from Moussa Samoura, the young Senegalese responded after the break thanks to a goal from Souleymane Faye.
Despite clear dominance and several missed opportunities, Ousmane Diop's young players were unable to force the decision. This result leaves defending champions Senegal with one point before facing Guinea on Thursday, for the second matchday of Group B. Only the two finalists will secure their qualification for the 2026 U17 AFCON in Mali.
