Both parties are now only awaiting the completion of the final administrative formalities before the transfer is officially announced.
This arrival could, however, shake things up within the Madrid squad. Trent Alexander-Arnold's future seems more uncertain than ever. Having arrived from Liverpool last summer, the England international has not fully convinced during his first season with Real Madrid.
