Mercato - PSG : Luis Enrique ne veut pas de Michael Olise ?
Like Victor Osimhen, who was rejected by Luis Enrique during the last transfer window, PSG may not be involved in the race for the excellent Michael Olise. Here's why.
Michael Olise is a player like no other. With the ball at his feet, it's hard to find someone as powerful, incisive, and magical as him right now in Europe. His talent is being hotly courted by major European clubs like Real Madrid and Liverpool. But strangely, PSG might not be making a move for this new French gem.
Olise, a "different" personality
Magical on the pitch, Michael Olise remains a "unique" personality off it. In June 2024, in the newspaper L'Equipe, a source close to Chelsea said this about the former Reading prodigy: "He even got into fights with some players who are still at Chelsea today. Olise was also kicked out of Manchester City's Academy for the same reasons. He's a bit of an oddball, who needs a lot of guidance." This unconventional, nonchalant, and "different" side is indeed evident in the Frenchman.
Luis Enrique demanding
For Luis Enrique, a player's personality is sometimes as important as their talent. In the summer of 2025, Victor Osimhen could have signed for PSG. Luis Campos had a firm grasp of the player and the situation; Luis Enrique simply had to say yes. But because the Nigerian's personality is sometimes "atypical," the Spaniard preferred to say no. And the same will be true for Olise, if Luis Campos makes this option available this summer.
