Transfert – Premier League : Newcastle casse sa tirelire pour la sensation allemande Nick Woltemade
Sought after by several clubs, including Bayern Munich, Nick Woltemade has finally chosen to join Newcastle. The Magpies paid a whopping €90 million to land the giant German striker (1.97m). The English club made official this Saturday the arrival of the 23-year-old player, who has played three matches and scored one goal in all competitions this season, from Stuttgart.
A revelation last season in the Bundesliga, Woltemade thus becomes the most expensive transfer in Newcastle's history. A significant signing for manager Eddie Howe.
This record transfer could also facilitate the departure of Alexander Isak, who has expressed his wish to join Liverpool.
